A Tribute to Richard White
The Early Years of Ron White Custom Homes

Richard white (dad)
I began working on my father’s job sites in about 1969 at 12 years of age. I started out like most by cleaning up, digging ditches with a shovel and other small tasks until he allowed me to start driving nails and taking on more tasks.

You are dearly missed
I worked with my father until he retired. I tried to pick his brain -so to speak- and learn as much as I could and soak up 50 plus years of experience. We normally then would build 4 to 5 houses a year and take on some remodeling jobs.

It was routine back then for us to work on as many tasks, such as, concrete work, block work, roofing, electrical, plumbing, drywall along with framing and finishing and a lot of wood siding.

When I began to make our work schedule and bid jobs, it became a very quick transition for us to double our capacity by using only sub-contractors for plumbing, electric, heating-cooling, all masonry work, drywall and most of roofing, siding and insulation. We carry on his work ethic to this day and strive for nothing short of excellence.
